There’s a Rat, there’s a Rat, there’s a very very big Rat!

I saw it the other day. Running across the back lawn. I was like ohmygod eww that thing is huge! It stopped and was eyeing up the guinea pig! (Don’t worry, Bella *pukes at now horrible name, though I never named her anyway* is in a perfectly secure hutch which only a super rat could get into) I was going to set Biddy (my rat-mouse-rabbit-catching or at least chasing dog) onto it, but a) there was already a chicken escaped onto the lawn on the other side and b) we have a whole heap of poison rat traps set around to catch the buggers, so I didn’t want my little doggy having a feed of poisoned rat.

So it lived another day.

My dad saw it yesterday. He was like “There’s a huge bastard of a rat outside!” I’m like, yeah I saw it the other day. Burst his bubble. Lol. Then this morning I went outside to get my washing out of the garage and my dad happily informed me he had found HugeRat dead outside this morning. You should see it! he tells me, it’s huge! Off he goes and brings back a plastic bag. Ew ew ew I don’t want to see it! I tried to run away but couldn’t help seeing it. My god, it looked even huger lifeless! Now, my triumphant deadrat finding father, has wrapped it in newspaper and is going to show my poor mother it when she gets home.

That will be funny.

I need new guitar strings. I wonder if my budget will stretch to them. Then it’s the dilemma of whether to get strings for my acoustic or electric. I’m pretty sure both my electrics need new strings. I’ve restrung Sophia-Marie (my first electric, tis a little brand strat) only once or twice, in the four years I’ve had it… So perhaps she could get first lot of new strings. But then I don’t play that one very much. My second (what the hell did I call it?)… (Anyway it’s a Samick Avion les paul copy), I’ve had for 7 months, and haven’t restrung it yet. But I play that one a lot. And I can tell it needs new strings. So maybe I should restring it first. But then I haven’t restrung my acoustic in bloody ages. Maybe I’ll for-go holiday activities in the hope that I can persuade my ‘rents into buying new strings for all three? At least bass strings last ages! Wouldn’t fancy breaking one of them, or replacing the strings.

Oops forgot to drink my coffee. As always.
